About FireAid/EMSAid

FireAid/EMSAid was founded by Mr. Kim Holman, Mr. Trevor Johnston, and Mr. Mark Warnick. Dedicated to the Emergency Medical Service and the Fire Service the men set out to make a difference, and they have.

In creating FireAid/EMSAid they took the bold step of turning over control of the destiny of FireAid/EMSAid to a very diverse Board of Directors made up of dedicated and highly-qualified EMS service and Fire Service leaders. Please feel free to contact any of our Board Members directly.

Jack Peltier
Vice President

Jack is past president of the International Society of Fire Service Instructors (ISFSI) and is a fifty-two year veteran of the fire service. He is currently serving as Coordinator – Program Development Division for the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy. He has previously served as Recruit Training Coordinator, and Staff Services Coordinator. Jack also serves the Berlin Fire Department as the Safety Officer and the Southborough Fire Department where he is Safety Officer and an active member of the training committee. Jack is also president of The FireTech Group, Inc., a company that conducts fire investigations and training nationwide. Jack's vast experience in training and service in the fire service makes him a welcome addition to the Board of Directors of Fire Aid USA and EMS Aid USA.

Jack previously served the Marlboro Fire Department (MA) holding positions in all ranks including acting chief. He retired from this department in 1990. Previous positions with the ISFSI include adjunct instructor and many different aspects of the Training Clinic at the Fire Departments Instructors Conference.

Trevor Johnston
Secretary

Trevor is currently the General Manager of Dalmatian Fire Equipment, a company that supplies Fire and EMS Equipment to first responders worldwide. Trevor has a Bachelors degree in Education and is currently working towards an MBA.

He is a long-time mentor, helping teenagers develop life skills. He continues to volunteer through the Boy Scouts.

Robbie Robertson
Treasurer

Robbie is a CPA and financial advisor with his own accounting firm and is one of only approximately 1200 to hold a Life Underwriter Training council Fellow designation. His has previously served as a speaker and adjunct professor at the American University, Utah Valley College and Provo College, Eagle Gate College. Robbie spent over a decade living outside the U.S. as a manager with Arthur Anderson and Price Waterhouse, before becoming CFO for British Petroleum Asia Pacific. He has been featured on television programs in Asia and produces a monthly T.V. program highligihting his business clients. He has appeared in the Wasatch Business Connection magazine.

Robbie gives back to the community by serving in his church, as the President of the Lehi Rotary Club, and as a board member of the Lehi Chamber of Commerce. He holds a BS in Accounting and Computer Science from Brigham Young University, a MA in Japanese from Westbourne University (London) and a Master of Financial Services from American University and is a Certified Financial Planner. He also holds SEC Series 7 and Series 66 licenses.

Lou Jordan, PA (Retired)
Director-At-Large

Lou is Founder and President of Emergency Training Associates and Emergency Publishers Inc. He has over 40 years experience as an EMT. One of the original EMT instructors trained under the initial government grant, he went on to work with numerous national emergency services organizations and committees over the years. As task group Leader for ASTM, a Charter member of NAEMT and NAEMSE and as a member of the National Council of State Training Coordinators for 20 years his experience is broad. He additionally served as the Director American Power Boat Association Rescue Team and as Medical Coordinator/Advisor for the FBI HRT. (Hostage Rescue Team). He helped develop and taught the Med-Evac training program initially used by the Maryland State Police Aviation Program and the US Park Police. After beginning his EMS career as a medic for the United States Army, he went to work for the Baltimore City Fire Department and later moved to the Maryland Shock Trauma Unit and State EMS Office where he served as Director of Pre-hospital Care. He currently also serves as the Vice President of the National EMS Museum Foundation, a non profit group dedicated to preserving the history of EMS.

James (Jim) I. O'Neill, Jr.
Director-At-Large

Jim is the Chief of Department of the Suwannee County Fire Districts (FL) and serves on the Suwannee County Volunteer Fire Governors Board. He is also a member of the DHS-FEMA Surge (Strike Force) Training team, Orlando, FL.

Previously Jim served as Lead Firefighter-Inspector for Direct Housing Operations (DHOPS) in Plaquemines Parish. He has also served, by special request, the U.S. Fire Administration in responding to the Hurricane Katrina Disaster relief effort in a variety of positions including Task Force Commander of FEMA Task Force 93, Community Relations for the Joint Field Office in Baton Rouge, LA and Area Commander, Area 3 Special Operations - New Orleans Task Force 83 (Algiers). Honors include the Distinguished Service Award from the State of Florida (2000).

Scott Rose
Director-At-Large

Scott is Department of Defense Level 1 Firefighter, Level 1 HazMat Technician, and supply officer with the Department of Defense (DOD). He holds all Level I certifications through the DOD Firefighter Certification Program which is accredited by the International Firefighters Accreditation Congress, and holds several technical rescue certifications and Haz Mat Technician, Haz-Mat IC.

Prior to his current post he served as a DOD Firefighter/EMT for the Pueblo Chemical Depot (CO) where he contributed on numerous departmental projects and received several performance awards for his accomplishments. Previously Scott served as a paid and volunteer firefighter in Colorado and a Fire Protection Specialist with the U.S. Air Force. At the age of 15, he became the youngest certified Colorado State Firefighter I through the Colorado Division of Fire Safety.

Scott Miller
Director-At-Large

Scott B. Miller is a 25-year emergency service veteran and a retired IAFF Captain with the Compton, California Fire Department. He has served as a training officer, reserve firefighter program director and USAR team coordinator. He holds numerous California State Certifications including Fire Service Instructor, Fire Investigator, and Swift Water Rescue. He is also a past president of the California Fire Photographers Association, and is co-author of "The California Fire Service Directory". He is also a current member of the California State Fireman’s Association.

Mark S. Warnick
Consultant/Executive Director

Mark Warnick provides consulting services based on his vast experience both with the Fire Service and non-profit management. Mark was the sole founder of Helping Our Own, which was developed to help under-funded fire departments. Having volunteered his services there for seven years, he has become a most knowledgeable and experienced expert on non-profit organizations dealing with EMS and Fire Service reconditioned equipment.

Mark has also been a part time consultant for the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Energy and several other agencies, and he has evaluated and donated consulting services to several needy counties in the United States. Mark is one of four people in the history of the fire service to receive the Stihl National Forestry Hero Award, as well as many other awards and medals.
